Sarah CantrellVeterinary Assistant Sarah Cantrell joined Matthews Animal Clinic in 2011. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, Binx and Vivien. When she is not working Sarah enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking.

Ashley BurgessA surgical assistant at Matthews Animal Clinic since 2007, Ashley Burgess is a native of the Charlotte area. Ashley is proud to work with the caring, friendly staff at the hospital. Her hobbies include running and spending time with her fiance and pets Peanut, Rottewiller, Briggs, and her cats, Akasha and Monkey.

Katie ChambersVeterinary technician Katie Scott began working at Matthews Animal Clinic as a kennel attendant in 1999. A native of Matthews, Katie attended Gaston College and received her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007. Katherine loves working with animals and enjoys the learning experiences the hospital provides. When she's not at work, Katie can be found spending time with her husband, Shannon, stepson Blaine and her daughter Kelsey. She also keeps busy caring for her dogs, Sarah and Max, and her cats, Eddie and Aggie.

Leigh Anne DodrillTechnician Assistant Leigh Anne Dodrill joined Matthews Animal Clinic in 2011. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Bug.

Vicki RitchSurgical technician Vicki Ritch has been caring for pets at Matthews Animal Clinic for more than two decades. Vicki loves working with animals and the family-like atmosphere at the hospital. Vicki's hobbies bowling, golf, dancing and spending time with her pets. She has two dogs, Fuzzy and Skeeter, and five cats, Breezy, William, Henry, Missy and Prissy.

Tiffany WilliamsVeterinary assistant Tiffany Williams joined the Matthews Animal Clinic staff in 2004. Tiffany is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and plans to get her doctorate in microbiology. After graduation, she plans to attend veterinary school. Tiffany loves working with the knowledgeable, dedicated staff at the hospital and enjoys the educational opportunities her job presents.

Tiffany has a number of pets, including dogs, cats and a multitude of fish. She especially enjoys hanging out with her pug, Biggy Jawls. Tiffany's hobbies include snowboarding, spending time with her pets.

Tracy AlvarezVeterinary technician Tracey Alvarez graduated from Gaston College with a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. She has four dogs, Raven Chance, Diago and Bella. When she is not working she enjoys hiking, fishing, horseback riding and spending time with her dogs.

Dawn MacikDawn Macik has been a veterinary technician at Matthews Animal Clinic since graduating from Gaston College in 2009. She enjoys spending time with her three dogs, Cheyenne, Nola and Katie, and her cat, Jadis. Dawn's other hobbies include spending time with friends and family, camping and watersports.

Stephanie HoodStephanie Hood started at Matthews Animal Clinic as a kennel assistant in 2006. Since 2008, she has taken on the title of Veterinary Assistant. She enjoys caring for the animals and making sure they are loved while visiting the hospital.

Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeffrey, and their three dogs, Libby, Sadie, and Marty Pants, who keep her busy and entertained.

Jessica HoneycuttWaxhaw, N.C. native, Jessica Honeycutt joined the Matthews Animal Clinic staff in 2004. She became a certified veterinary Technician after attending Gaston College and earning her Associate's Degree in Applied Science in 2005.

She and her husband had their first child in 2011.

Jessica is very active in Union County Agriculture including leading the 4-H Livestock club for kids and The Cattleman's Association. She enjoys raising and showing cattle.

In her free time she enjoys gardening and spending time with her dogs and pet goat.
